I like to consider myself a gamer, and even if I am not that good at them I still like to play. There are a lot of games out there, board games, card games, video games, computer games, mobile games, you name it, and people play games for various reasons, mostly when they are bored and sometimes as a way to relax and unwind after a long hard day at work, from school, or whatever. Keeping that in mind, there are some games that seem to be designed for the sole purpose of winding down; not that many, but they are there. So I plan to talk about these games, but not all in one post. Instead I am going to make this a kind of series where I talk about each game as I come across them and how I think they may be relaxing and helpful in the de-stressing department.
So, on this topic I want to talk about this weird game which I saw on YouTube called ‘Zen and the art of Transhumanism.’ It’s a really strange game that has to do with human enhancement, philosophy and pottery.
Confused? Well, so was I at first. Here, I’ll let this YouTuber Markiplier explain.
Did you watch the video? Pretty strange huh! Anyway the reason why I think it might be relaxing is because of the pottery part of the game. Everyone knows that pottery is supposed to be relaxing and since this game is basically pottery, it stands to reason that the game should be relaxing too. At any rate Markiplier seems to be having a fun time with it and even though I wasn’t playing it, there was just something satisfying about seeing him finish a piece of that weird holographic pottery piece.
I haven’t tried the game for myself yet, but I will once I get it. In the meantime if you want, you can try it out for yourself. Well that’s all for this post, I hope you enjoyed it (at least a little). I’ll continue to look into these type of games and let you know if anything catches my eye and if it’s relaxing or not. Until then, to all the gamers out there, happy gaming! And to all the non-gamers, happy whatever it is you do to pass the time.
