Does life require a purpose and a goal?

Life. We come into the world, go through the motions, try to get by and live our life to the best of our abilities. Why? Because we only get the one (unless you believe in rebirth, in which case you can ignore that line).

So we live our lives; and is that all there is to it? Do we just make our way on this Earth aimlessly? Or is there some reason behind it all? And even if there is or isn’t, do we really need one? Can we just exist and end it there?

Well honestly, I think it all comes down to you. Ever since I was young, I’ve heard about finding the “meaning of life.” I first heard it on T.V. and then I started hearing it in everyday life.

He needs a purpose in his life, she is just going through life aimlessly, they need to find a goal.

In Hindi they call it Lakshya, which means aim, destination or target.

But in the end, it’s up to you whether you need a purpose and if you do, what that purpose is.

I’ve known people who are miserable without a purpose, I’m one of them. There are of course times when I think I can do just fine without one, but if I stay purposeless for too long then I start to get downright depressed (fun times). So for me, and people like me, it’s better if we keep ourselves busy. Even if say, I have no work, then I start my own project and work on it. Sometimes one can wait for work, but if nothing will come, then you need to start your own thing.

Of course, there are also people who are the complete opposite and do just fine even when they don’t have any clear goals, and that’s fine too. If you can get through life with no goals, are genuinely happy and aren’t hurting anyone, then go on ahead, it’s your life, live it how you want.

Life’s what you make of it, so make it something you can be happy with, the rest will sort itself out one way or another.

Well that’s it for this post, I hope you liked it I hope you have a nice day ahead.
