Jobs I wish Existed: Click and get money

This might just be the single most selfish post I have ever written so far. And when I say selfish, I mean selfish in a greedy, I-wish-there-was-a-better-way to get money kind of way.

I’m not sure how many of you know this, but there are games out there called clicker games, and each of these games are pretty much the same thing with a different skin on it.

The point of a clicker game is to “click” your mouse or tap your touchscreen to score points; and when you get enough points, you can get an upgrade that will let you score even more points; or you can start getting points automatically. And that’s it, that’s how clicker games work. They are just time wasters that many people like playing, heck I’m guilty of playing clicker games regularly too.

Some rather well know clicker games are:

Cookie Clicker

AdVenture Capitalist

Insanity Clicker (this one’s rather disturbing and graphic. You’ve been warned)

Clicker Heroes

Tap Knight

And so on

So where does the selfishness come in? Well, one of the games on this list is AdVenture Capitalist which is a clicking game where each click creates one dollar. Can you see where I’m going with this? I really wish there was a way where I could press a button a bunch of times and I would get a good amount of cash for it. It would be the easiest job in the world, I wouldn’t need any skills for it, I wouldn’t have to worry about deadlines or anything like that, I just tap a button repeatedly and boom, money.

Now obviously there is no way that could happen or could even work in the real world. After all, every job a person does has to contribute to society in some way, whether it’s providing a product, entertainment, medicine or whatever. Taps/clicks won’t do anything, they don’t contribute to anyone in any way. The only thing that would happen is that you get sore fingers and a worn out button. But still, it’s a cool thing to dream about sometimes.

Well that’s the end of a completely pointless post. I hope you found my rambling entertaining in some way and I’ll do my best to make a better post for next time!
