We live in a world that is always changing, some of us may feel like that’s a new thing that has only happened recently but that’s not true at all. The world always has been changing.
And always will be changing.
But that’s okay because we change with it too, sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly; and it is important to know the difference.
Even though the world does keep changing, you cannot deny that sometimes it seems to go too fast for us to handle. Most of society seems to promote this fast paced, changing lifestyle, keep doing something new, keep thinking something new, keep moving, don’t ever stop. But that’s not how life works, there are times when you have to slow down so you can recharge and catch up.
Everything in the universe has its own pace at it which it does things, birds can fly at a certain speed, the earth moves around the sun at a certain speed, the universe keeps expanding at a certain speed, etc. and so on. Sure, sometimes speeds change but you can’t keep the same speed up all the time, if you keep going too fast something will eventually give and then nobody wins.
Wanting to get the job done as fast as possible is all well and good but you have to remember you have limits, you can only do so much before you need to rest and recharge yourself. You can push yourself to do more; there’s nothing wrong with that, after all that is how people get stronger, but push too hard and you will break. Always remember to pace yourself, get the work done on time, in your own time.
There will be times when it seems like everyone and everything wants things done yesterday but that doesn’t mean that you have to burn yourself over it, remember you can get the job done or you can get it done right you can’t get both all the time no matter how much you or anyone else might want it. So remember to pace yourself, don’t go too fast and don’t go too slow and more importantly don’t worry, you’ll get the job done but if you go too fast and end up crashing then you’re not going to help anybody. So first, take care of yourself.
