Today I am going to tell you about a mobile game I recently started playing called Best Fiends.
It’s a fun and simple puzzle adventure game made by a company called Seriously. Seriously that is their name, seriously. It has a very cartoony style and has these adorable little creatures (fiends) that you need to help in order to defeat their enemies, the slugs.
The game takes place in a world called Minutia and the premise of the game is one day a meteor struck Mount Boom which somehow transformed all the slugs in the world into a greedy and evil force that want to gobble everything up. Now it’s up to the heroes to fight against the slugs and save the world.

Playing the game is easy enough; you have some heroes (fiends) that have certain powers which correspond to a particular symbol. You match up the symbols by clicking on one and dragging over the matching symbols next to it (in any direction). When you collect symbols, you power up your fiend and then they fight against the slugs.
You progress through the game by completing levels and each level has certain objectives like collect this much of this symbol or defeat these many slugs and stuff like that; but you better make a strategy because you have a limited number of moves. If you use up all your moves before completing the objective then you fail the level; you do get a consolation prize though, so there’s that.
The game is kind of reminiscent of candy crush in some ways; you match symbols, you have a limited number of moves, you have objectives to complete a level and the game is cute. They are similar but not entirely the same; if you play the games you’ll see that for yourself.
You can get it on the google play store, the app store, you can even play it on Facebook if you want.
So why am I even mentioning the game? Well, that’s because I am having a lot of fun playing it. I think it’s cute, the music is quite nice and relaxing by itself, the game is easy to play and it’s a good and fun way to distract yourself from everyday life. You can’t think about life’s daily stresses if you’re busy playing a game like this one.
Plus, they made this really funny video to “promote” their game (I downloaded the game because of this video)
