Space. The final frontier. (Watching videos of outer space)

In this post we are going to be talking about “Space. The final frontier,” sort of.

Recently I came across this channel on YouTube called Space videos which only has videos of footage from outer space. In fact they seem to have a dedicated live stream of the earth from space as recorded from the International space station, I don’t know if it is 24/7 but every time I go to their channel I can find this live stream going on, go ahead and check it out for yourself.

Here’s one of the videos they have (not the live stream)

Apart from the awesome view from outer space (I think I can see my house from here), they also play this awesome, soothing and relaxing music in the background that goes really well with the video. These are the kind of videos which you either just enjoy looking at for a few minutes at a time (even if most of them are much longer than that) or you can watch them for longer as a way to calm yourself down, I know I do that. I don’t know if it’s the video itself, or the music, or a combination of the two but there is something very soothing about looking at space and at the earth from that far up; I mean if you are willing to take a little leap of logic and can immerse yourself deeply enough into it you can pretend like your flying (unless you’re deathly afraid of heights, then it might not be that much fun). Heck you could just listen to the music alone and go around your business and that would be relaxing by itself.

I should say that these videos are not a guaranteed way to relax but more of a way to distract yourself from the woes of life in general; like playing a video game or watching something funny on T.V. or the internet. You could also think of it as one of those relaxing videos you see online which normally show scenes of nature with some background music.

Whatever the case, I found this channel and its videos fascinating and relaxing (a double whammy baby) so I think you should check it out, and especially if you’re a space freak, you’ll love it.

Well that’s all for this post, I hoped you liked it. If you did, let me know in the comments. Until next time keep reaching for the stars, and bye!
